Sticky Handles

Why have my silicone handles become 'sticky'?

Silicone and rubberized handles can become sticky over time when grease and other oils are absorbed into the handle surface. This can leave a residue that feels sticky to the touch, even after regular washing.

We recommend the following tips to help remove the sticky residue:
1. Wash the handle thoroughly with a grease-cutting liquid dish soap and warm water.
2. Dry the handle completely, then use rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth to gently wipe down its surface.
3. If the sticky feeling persists, mix together baking soda and water to create a thick paste that is about the same consistency as toothpaste. Rub the paste over the surface of the handle with a cloth, then rinse clean.

If the handle of your cookware still feels sticky after following the steps above, please contact our Consumer Relations department for further assistance by calling 800-888-3883. Our agents will be happy to assist you Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Pacific Time, excluding holidays.
